Costco Food Court’s NEW Chicken Strips Just Went Nationwide

Big news out of the food court, folks: Costco’s Chicken Strips are officially a thing everywhere now.

The strips first popped up as a test item back in May 2026, quietly debuting at a handful of Chicago-area warehouses.

Fans caught wind fast, word spread, and by July 2026, the strips had rolled out to Costco food courts nationwide — from Seattle to who-knows-where-next. Dang, that’s a quick glow-up.

What You’re Actually Getting

For $6.99, you get five hearty, baked (not fried!) breaded chicken breast strips — each one clocking in around 3.5 ounces — plus a generous tub of a smoky, tangy, mayo-based dipping sauce.

All in, that’s over a pound of chicken for less than seven bucks.

A lot of shoppers say the sauce gives off serious Chick-fil-A vibes, minus actually being Chick-fil-A sauce. And we agree. In fact, I enjoyed it better!

The Cane’s Comparison Everyone’s Making

Naturally, the internet immediately put these up against Raising Cane’s.

And the math is not close: Cane’s Box Combo runs $11.49, while Costco’s version costs less than half that — with roughly three times the chicken.

One Costco strip alone outweighs a Cane’s finger by more than 2-to-1.

Value-wise? Vintage Costco. Tast-wise? Raising Cane’s by a mile.

Not Everyone’s Sold

Reception’s been a little split. Some shoppers are thrilled with the portion size and price.

Others say the strips lean salty, dry, or a bit too breaded for their taste.

Fair warning: a full order comes in at around 1,640 calories with sauce, so this isn’t exactly a light lunch — more of a “split it with a friend” situation.

Should You Try It?

If you’re already making your Costco run, yeah — grab a tray, and decide for yourself.

At this price and portion size, it’s hard to call it a bad bet, even if it won’t dethrone the $1.50 hot dog anytime soon.
